My daughter has trained with Coach Guastella the last 2 winters before the spring season.  Each year her level of play has increased dramatically.  Not only does Coach Guastella understand the game of lacrosse and the skills critical to success, but his training style produces tangible results.  It is also clear from watching some of the sessions that he is very passionate about the game and thoroughly enjoys working with the players to help them continually improve.   He is also very accessible to discuss any aspect of the training and provides regular feedback on your child’s progress.  I could go on, but my daughter and I can’t thank Coach Guastella enough for the difference he has made in her skill level and genuine love of the sport!

" I really improved my game after Coach G's winter training sessions. His techniques especially  helped my technical skills."

Before I went to Coach Sal’s winter session, I wasn’t a spectacular thrower and catcher at lacrosse. I also couldn’t use my left hand at all. By the end of winter, my left hand was better than everyone else’s. A few weeks later, I had my travel team tryouts. I was the only kid there who could use both hands. I made the team, and I’m on the same team again this year. This year, kids on my travel team have asked me if I’m a lefty because I’ve gotten so good with it. Every time I just thank Coach Sal for it. I highly recommend anyone, beginning and experienced, to go to any of Coach Sal’s camps. I guarantee that you will become a different player, and coaches will notice you because you will be able to use both hands. He also works on many dodges with you and other extremely important fundamentals that will make you a better player. He’s the reason I’ve been on a travel lacrosse team for 2 years in a row now, and I suggest you get your spot in his camp now!

Thanks for everything Coach Sal!

My 9th grade son has participated in small group instruction the last three years and attended Coach Sal's summer camps the last two years.  My son's lacrosse skill level and knowledge of the game have improved dramatically as a result of Coach Sal's attention to doing things right every time and focusing on the small details in their drills and scrimmages.  Coach Sal's camps are well organized, very focused and fun yet challenging at the same time.  My son has been participating (and will continue through high school) in Coach Sal's small group instruction sessions. There is a direct correlation between my son's participation in these small group instruction sessions/summer camps and the enhancement of his lacrosse skills.  As a result of this instruction, my son is starting for his freshmen team at CBA, which is consistently ranked among the top two teams in the shore conference/perennial private school lacrosse powerhouse in New Jersey.  In addition, my son is starting for one of the elite summer HS All Star travel teams in NJ. This is also true for my son's best friend/current teammate who has attended the same sessions/camps.  These results speak for themselves.  The money I have spent on Coach Sal's camps/small group instruction has been the best money I have spent in enhancing my son's lacrosse skills.

Our 12-year-old son attended Coach Guastella's Fall 2007 indoor lacrosse league in the Fall of 2007 as well as his clinic in the Winter 2007/Spring 2008. Our son responded very well to Coach Guastella's coaching style/methods and we saw a marked improvement in his lacrosse skills from the Spring 2007 to Spring 2008.   Our son's goal for 2008 was to make a travel lacrosse team. And we are happy to say that due to our son's increased confidence, he was able to earn a spot on a travel lacrosse team. We have also heard from members of his Spring 2008 Holmdel HS team about how much they LOVE playing for Coach Guastella. We cannot think of a better role model for lacrosse than Coach Guastella.

Our son Anthony has been privately coached by

Sal Guastella for three years and has also been a member of his summer clinic.  With Sal’s coaching Anthony has improved his skills immensely.  Besides being very knowledgeable about lacrosse, Sal really knows how to relate to the kids.  They really enjoy being coached by him.  When having to choose between playing for Tri-State or Sal’s travel team 360 Lacrosse, Anthony chose to play for Sal.

We are very happy with the training Anthony has received from Sal.

                                                                   Sincerely,

Our son's skills improved dramatically after working with Coach Sal and he gained a lot more confidence on the lacrosse field.

Bottom line: if you want your child to improve, and learn to love the game, send him or her to Coach Sal’s training sessions!

Dear Coach Guastella,

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much your training sessions has helped our son Chris. He is currently playing on a local
travel tournament team called the Mavericks. The team consists of players who were chosen from about 60 7th and 8th grade boys. We feel his time with you has made a huge difference in his game from the fundamentals to his desire to be better. We're very proud of his progress since he has only played serious lacrosse for 3 years and we feel that you been a huge part of his success so far. Thanks for everything you've done and we are looking forward to the next session.

Dear Coach Guastella,

My son worked out with you for about 5 weeks to prepare for the tryouts for the Marlboro High School varsity lacrosse team.  He was one of only 2 freshmen selected for the varsity team! I just wanted to say thanks for a great program.  I'm sure the skills you taught him helped him make the team and he really enjoyed the sessions.  Best of luck and thanks for your help.

Dear Coach Tribuiani,

Thank you so much for preparing Justine for the Saint James JV Girls try-outs.  Training with you was a very positive experience for Justine and it apprently did the trick! We are all thrilled that Justine made it onto the team which turned out to be a very competetive try-out - 26 girls with 11 open slots.  As you saw at the Basketball Blowout, Justine is very proud to be a part of her school team and looks forward to a great season!  Your help in giving her the tools she needs for basketball success are greatly appreciated.  We look forward to working with you again next year.

"We signed my son up for small group lessons and we noticed the difference in his game almost immediately. He is much more confident and under control on the lacrosse field. I watched one of the practices and you can tell Sal is a great coach as he focuses on fundamentals and makes sure the kids do the drills right every time. He points out their mistakes and provides encouragement when they execute the drill properly. We plan on signing our son up for Sal's summer camp as well as continuing small group instruction in the Fall and Winter months. Our son enjoyed attending these sessions as his skill level improved and Sal made the sessions fun.  My son enjoyed the small group lessons because he received instant feedback and was able to put to practice what Sal taught him against players of comparable skill level (small group environment: meaning 4 kids were being taught by Sal for approximately 1 hour).  Clearly, Sal's lessons had the benefit of being in a small group setting and the players receiving almost individualized instruction."

I would recommend Sal to lacrosse players that are interested in: (a) improving their skill level; (b) being taught by an experienced coach/former collegiate player and; (c) the semi-private sessions work great in being able to do live drills against players of the same grade/similar skill level.

Dear Coach Lou,

Your program was an integral component in my daughter's success in making her school JV Basketball Team.  Your focus, instruction and knowledge have made her a better athlete and basketball player.

I highly recommend Hoop-Lax to athletes looking to sharpen their skill, enhance their performance, and hone their competitive edge.  I recommend Hoops-Lax to parents looking for a value based program that delivers results.

If you have an opportunity to utilize Coach Sal to develop a youth lacrosse player, grab it!

Anyone who knows him can attest that his credentials and his reputation are both solid.

What stands out most of all to me, is his talent to assess a player’s skill and ability and then communicate an effective development plan to raise the player to the next level. Whether introducing the sport to a new player or tuning up a seasoned veteran, Sal makes the sessions enjoyable. He provides a solid foundation, while developing new skills to challenge each player at their respective playing level. He is able to break down the fundamental skills and to provide a fun yet challenging set of drills to reinforce those skills. Sal’s instruction translates from practice sessions to the game field. I have had the pleasure of watching Sal coach both large youth programs, as well as, small group sessions. I have seen improvement in my son’s game and I have witnessed transformations of new players the very next season. Having coached youth sports for years, I know why Sal is so effective. He absolutely loves coaching and that shows in his interaction with the athletes.

 Dear Coach Guastella,

Mike is having a great season on CBAs JV lacrosse team.  He has a great lefthand shot thanks to your outstanding training!  Thanks for everything!

Coach Guastella has been instrumental in developing my sons' lacrosse
skills. All three of my boys play lacrosse and two of them have had small group
lessons with him.  He has the innate ability to access, formulate and
implement a strategy that will augment a child/adolescent's lacrosse
potential.  His years of experience as a college player and coach give him
the fundamentals necessary to not only teach the sport, but to nurture the
undeveloped skills of the player he is coaching.  His constant encouragement
as he is teaching connects with the student athlete in a positive way.  I
knew he was doing a fine job when all I could hear from my kids was " When
is our next lesson with Coach Guastella"?  Keep up the good work Coach!
